An application that proclaims itself as a “News” app on Google Play should meet the entirety of the accompanying requirements.
News applications that require a user to buy an enrollment should give a content see for users preceding buy.
News applications should be:
- Give ownership data about the news distributer and its contributors including, yet not restricted to, the official site for the news published in your application, valid and undeniable contact data, and the original publisher of each article, and
- have a site or in-app page that gives valid contact information for the news distributer.
News applications should NOT:
- contain critical spelling or grammatical blunders,
- contain just static content (e.g., content that is a while old), and
- have a member advertising or ad revenue as its basic role.
News applications that aggregate content from various distributing sources should be straightforward about the publishing source of the content in the application and every one of the sources should meet News policy requirements.
